The Space

Bancha is a stylish 19th-century stone cottage, set in the old seaside town of Amble in Northumberland. The property blends period character with carefully curated interiors, offering a cosy yet design-led place to stay.

It is ideally located just a short walk from the Harbour, Marina, and the centre of Amble, where guests can enjoy a fantastic selection of restaurants, bars, shops, and coastal scenery.

One bedroom features twin beds that can be converted into a super-king bed upon request — guests are simply asked to confirm their preference in advance of their stay. A foldaway cot and high chair are also available, making the cottage suitable for those travelling with young children.


A Labour of Love in the Heart of Amble

This beautiful home has truly been a labour of love. The owners, Richard and his partner, have poured their hearts into renovating and remodelling the house, with Richard working closely alongside his brother to shape the space into a style they love.

While the renovation brought the structure to life, the interiors tell an equally important story. From retro furniture and statement tiles to carefully chosen paint colours, every detail has been thoughtfully sourced to reflect their quirky taste and shared love of design. A particular passion for mid-century furniture shines throughout the house, giving it a distinctive and characterful feel.

The owners absolutely love spending time at Bancha and have created a space that feels personal, welcoming, and full of charm.
