Back in April 2024, we launched our website with a clear mission— to support and showcase the best holiday accommodations across the UK and Ireland. As passionate travellers who love staycations with our children and our dog, we have explored countless destinations, always seeking out unique and welcoming places to stay.

During our travels, we’ve had the privilege of speaking with many accommodation hosts, each with their own inspiring stories of why they started their holiday rental business. We love hearing about these personal journeys, the dreams that turned into reality, and the joys of hospitality. However, we’ve also heard about the struggles and frustrations that come with large booking platforms, particularly the negative impacts they have had on independent hosts.

With this in mind, we decided to bring together our two biggest passions—staycation travel and our professional experience—to create something truly special. Our website is designed to spotlight outstanding accommodations while keeping both the guest and host experience at the forefront.

But our mission goes beyond just places to stay. When we travel, we seek out independent coffee shops, local restaurants, craft stores, cosy pubs, and cultural events. We believe that supporting local businesses enhances the staycation experience and contributes to the communities we visit. That’s why, alongside promoting holiday accommodations, we’re also dedicated to championing independent businesses in each location we feature.

After that, it’s just a simple, one-time annual membership of £69 per year (which works out to only 19p per day). This membership includes:

  • A monthly newsletter directed at travellers who love UK and Ireland staycations.

  • Weekly ‘Meet the Host’ blog features to introduce you to potential guests.

  • Monthly marketing tips and support to help boost your visibility and increase bookings.

Our goal is to build a supportive and thriving network of holiday accommodation hosts and independent businesses. Together, we can make staycations even more memorable while contributing to the growth of local tourism.
